Timeless Beauties

Flipping through the January edition of Vogue Paris, i happened to see the most glorious jewelry of my whole life. It's by Van Cleef and Arpels. It's called the "zip necklace." The history of it dates back to 1930s as stated in the official website of Van Cleef and Arpels, the time when it was first suggested by the Duchess of Windsor.
In the November edition of Vogue Turkey, there was an article about the jewelry collection to be auctioned of Elizabeth Taylor, and a quote of hers was stated there, she was saying, intending the jewelry pieces, "No one could ever possess such a beauty. We could only be their guards." Until i read this, i used to find the value given to the jewelry pieces "extravagant". Because for me, it's a bit unnecessary to spend millions of dollars for a single, super shiny thing because i used not to consider them as art pieces. But in fact, some truly are "pieces of art". As the Mona Lisa of Da Vinci would never ever belong to anyone in this world until forever, neither would do the jewelries. The keepers of them are solely the guards of it.
