Faking it!

'Before Adobe created Photoshop, there were other techniques used to manipulate photographs; collages, brushes and overlapping techniques' says D della Repubblica. Those images left from the end of 19th century to this day  are not only bewildering (bewildering, because each one of them is so sophisticated that they feel so real, as real as a still from a surrealist film, like the Orphic Triology by J. Cocteau!) but also fascinating to look at. Some seem absurd and funny but they all deserve to be praised. MET Museum of New York will be helding the exhibition displaying all these manually retouched photos in October. So if you had a chance to stop by, don't miss it!

How can a civilized female resist a civilized male wearing these sublime scarf and sweater with these dreamy colors? A woman will always approach a man like that saying 'Hello, sir.' Try and see. (The ones who have found this gayish, OUT! We're so done with the women condemning straight men to wear only black, gray, navy or white! )

Whokay, now be honest, isn't this the coolest collage work depicting monochromy you've ever seen? Well, I LOOVED IT!

I'm one of those who (have to) be stuck in the city throughout the whole summer. Friends tell me to 'read a book, go to a swimming pool, put my headphones on, make myself a cocktail, imagine myself laying on the sand....' bla bla. Well, firstly, I am not a pool person and have never been. Instead, I prefer filling the bathtub and adding rock salt in it (and yes, I did this). At least this makes it easier to imagine myself laying on the sand listening to the waves, with a little bit sharper salt smell. And to prevent myself going nuts while checking my Facebook account and seeing billions of photos added by my beloved friends with the sea and scorching sun in their background and smiling to the camera in their tiny little bikinis, I flang myself into my 'legos'. Making puzzles when the temperature shows 40°C really drives me crazy, especially the ones with two thousand pieces. Aghh! I might be a moron in this but me and my inborn impatience makes it even harder to complete it. So, I found my 'relief' in Legos, less complicated and more fun. I even saw a dream last night in which I put my puppy in a doghouse made up of Legos. I hope I wouldn't end up with talking to them:I

Fashion in the world of Diorama Art

I don't wanna seem like a traitor but us, in my country, or especially the ones who are deeply into the printed media, desperately lack for the art, fashion and culture magazines which exceed the limits of creativity, visually rich and highly inspirational. Under these circumstances, we have to turn towards the foreign publications to feed our appetite. But as you would appreciate, not every one of these foreign magazines can be found in our city, or even our country. Then there's this option of buying it from Amazon, or some other sites, but the shipping fee is almost twice as much than the sale price of the magazine.  To put away this handicap, 'i belli' working for Other Edition, which incorporates 'contextually the most creative and inspirational magazines' of all, came up with an application that you can download to your computer- Be careful, not just a tablet PC, but also a desktop or a laptop- for 7 Euros. And by subscribing to it, you get an access to the every single magazine published by Other Edition. (I guess it's over 40). And every time you open the application, a notification saying that there have been some new issues out, so you click on the update button, and latest issues of V, Interview, Vs, Metal, I love Fake, Industrie and a lot more of such widely acclaimed magazines are downloaded to your computer. Yes, that's the story behind how I finally happened to have the honor of reading the Vs Magazine. 

I'll keep it short, the whole magazine is full of mind-blowing editorials and photographs. I'll show you the photos from an editorial starring Lily Cole in Paolo Ventura's images. Paolo Ventura, briefly, is an Italian artist whom transposes his own stories into set designs and takes their photos. In this editorial, Lily Cole who is renowned for her doll-like face, was placed inside one of the works of Paolo Ventura, named 'Goldfish'. In all of the images, Lily Cole is like a dapper outsider entering into the world of a timeless atmosphere with timeless characters. It's like an editorial in which 'Art welcomes fashion'. I was thrilled by the whole idea of this fashArt shoot. I'll call it fashArt because I think it's way much more than just a fashion shoot. Ah, It's damn so b e a u t i f u l! Enjoy it!

Her Excellency...

Since it was seen carried by 'England's Rose', it has become a possession 'every woman would die to get their hands on'. In honour of Lady Dior, the Parisian fashion house organized an exhibition for which international artists and photographers interpreted 'Her Excellency' from their own point of view. The whole exhibition- Lady Dior As Seen By- feels like a song cover, as a praise to the original one. And so it is. 

To me, Lady Dior is a muse on its own. Damn, I swear I could write a script on it! Tons of ideas come to my mind when I look at it. Epic, dazzling, inspirational, sculpturesque are the first adjectives that are lightened up in my mind when someone shouts her name out!'.
